The XBox eats your soul. Instead of wasting your time with the soul-eating system you should read Sluggy Freelance (http://www.sluggy.com).
No, serioulsy, as far as I am concerned anything for the XBox is evil. The system is strictly a one-game system (the only reason anyone I've spoken to about it has bought it was strictly for Halo) and while there are a few half-way decent games for it they aren't well known and are only found in a disused lavatory with a sign saying "Beware of Leopard" in the basement of City Hall.
Okay, the X-Box is arguably the best system every made. Let's say it-HARD DRIVE. This spawned the no memory card needed bit of today's consoles. And it owns online play.
There are many great games for X-Box, it's just that Halo and Halo2 are the best known.

so... the computer has a hard drive arguably has better graphics(if you have the right hard ware) ,random acess memory, internet, control over world politics(and im takin conspirsy here), better looking, better control interface for games, beat whats his name in chess, and has a built in car, rocket launcher(that destroys all console on sight beep...beep...beeeeeeeeeep.. kaboom... hehehe) and many other more useful than console options.

For the most part, the masses are just obnoxious in taoday's world about EVERYTHING, including video games. Some will die for their favorite companies; these are the same who will take an RPG to others (for excellent examples, go to Penny Arcade). This is why there is so much propaganda surrounding all systems.

Hello everyone, Chris here again with another one of his forum-famous criticisms! TaDaaa!
Okay, here is my point of view on the current generation of console systems (PC doesn't count, otherwise it would win hands down).
In order of my favorite systems, is.......
1. The Almighty Gamecube!!! Yay (cheers, applause)! even though it has no online play, Nintendo's games are far more...unique...than many other games of today. Take Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, any Mario game, Zelda, etc. You know what I mean...Nintendo has something that the other systems don't---Innovation, connectivity, and is open to audiences of all ages! (note: plz add your own criticisms below, I wish to see you people's points of view)
2. Xbox! It is the green and black, large, heavy contraption that is found in homes all over the world...It has the best online service of the three systems (with Nintendo's having died before it was born and Sony's only good for SOCOM and a few other games) and is known for it's various games...Such as Halo, Halo2, Morrowind, Halo2, Some other games, Halo2, and Halo. Those games alone make me place this system as number 2 on my list.
3. The Boulder In The Woods Behind My House! this thing is fun to kick, climb on, and talk to...Unlike the PS2 in my opinion (well, maybe I could kick it...)
4. Last, and definitely least, in my opinion, is the Playstation 2! Aiming for realism and excellent graphics over storyline, gameplay, and multiplayer value, Sony has created a system with graphics better than any other system of this generation. It has a superior processor to those of the other systems, and even has built in DVD player that does not require the purchase of a remote to use. However, this system ranks last on my list because I believe that multiplayer and storyline are more important than realism, and in some cases Sony has attempted to make the most realistic game possible....But I play games to ESCAPE from reality, not to SIMULATE reality. Also, Sony's games target more mature audiences....I AM NOT MATURE!!!
Thankyouhavegoodnight

I think nintendo is really starting to lag behind. It has very few goof recent title now, but the new Fire Emblem is coming! *Pull a party-popper*
Dsigned for all ages? It aims at the ages between 8-15. Cmon folks, innovationn isn't always good.
Let's not ignore it's good points. It's got an 'innovative' controller, it has no online play (ok if you did't have any internet in the first place, but then how could you view this lovely forum?)........yeah..........
Anyway, the Gamecube mainly just play off of old game chacters and franchises.....we need new stuff, why not anything new?!
I like nintendo, don't get me wrong, but with the way things are going for Gamecube and what the Revolution is seeming to going to turn out to be, it is on one baaa-aaa-a-aaa-aaaad trip. It is dissapointing me.

Nintendo has innovation and Miyamoto, two things that will keep it afloat for quite a long time. Widely successful? No, but innovation is innovation, and even if the half of the gaming population doesn't notice it, I betcha other developers will.
Take, for example, two games that have come out for the Playstation 2. One was Ico, a classic from back in the day, and the second is Shadow of the Colossus.
Ico's art style and storytelling are fantastic, and their innovation, although from a Dark Horse game, has probably rippled throughout the gaming community. Likewise, SotC's style of you against a walking mountain will probably help some developers create a realistic sense of scale.
Games like Half Life have helped speed and set standards for their genres. Zelda and Mario ushered in an era of 3d platformers/RPGs for the N64. Need I go on?
And for the record Amergin, I was speaking of Nintendo. The legend Zelda, four swords is really just alot of redone content of the Super Nintendo Zelda Game. However, you are putting words in my mouth.
I said that innovation isn't good if it isn't entertaining, I didn't say that all inovation was bad. You are missing something in between your ears if you missed that.
Half-Life 2, awe-inspring. Amazing graphics, impressive audio, best physics ever.
I've played SothC, and it also has pretty good graphics, and fun gameplay.
I can't say that I've played Ico.

To be a good video game company, you need INNOVATION, not graphics. what good is a game with insanely realistic graphics if it is nothing new or interesting?

What is Innovation if it is not fun, entertaining, sucks graphic and gameplay wise, and anyone who has played would now rather watch paint dry than play it again. (not reffering to any particular game or company).
Oh yeah. In caseyou didn't know, graphics are a HUGE part of the gaming experience. To use the beloved nintendo against you, the named a system for it!
if you didn't catch that last part, don't speak to me.
