Brainiac is a great show on TV in which the British(sweet) conduct science experiments that you may ior may may not want to do.
I figured this would be a good place to put this, and after a few posts, I think you may agree.
One of the things done on this show is tryiong to break a black box flight recorder. If you do not know what one is, the click. What this article does not tell you is of its' extreme durability. I mean, this thing is TOUGH!
200 Civil War musket bullets and 2 cannon balls (fired, of course) merely dented it.
A large does of napalm just gave it a slight tan.
You get the idea.

Another excellent experiment is how certain things react to being microwaved.
As in the show, I feel that I should tel you not to do this, especially if you value your microwave, limbs, fruit, music and house.
By far the most interesting was a grape that had been slit in half. You all know the stages of matter; solid, liquid and gas, and one you may not know of, plasma.
The experiment proceed in this order: the grape quickly went through the first 3 stages. Shortly there after, there wasw what apeared to be a deep, yet bright orange flame, or plasma.
This is very cool, as it is usally difficult to get such a reaction out of normal objects such as these.
