Old-School Pre-Oasis Sluggy beats all.

The older PA comics' art is annoying.

The newer art IS good, but the humor isn't

Hm, I've never noticed much of a change, really ^^;;.

Either way, though, my favourite PA comic of all time is the one where Gabe's managed to destroy their backup drive.  I laughed so hard and then felt really bad when I read the NewsPost.

Right now, your opinion holds no water as, frankly, I don't believe you read a goddamn bit of many of the comics up there.

Now, if you want to actually take an hour or two and read up on one or two, THEN come back and argue on the themes with us, you be my guest. Until then, you're a retarded duck in the midst of drowning.

For the record, this comment pertains to Nana's life.

If YOU had been paying attention, you would know that.

I know sluggy has stry in it, and very clever humor.

I know that. You're the one trying to compare Nana's Life to Sluggy. That doesn't work; two different types of comics, two different kinds of humor.

Now, as I was pointing out - because I WAS paying attention - you're basically saying Nana's life has no humor nor storyline; this is because you have not finished the comic. Come back when you have, newbie.

The point...is on your head. I was not comparing, just stating how tthey rank up.

I recognize that Nana's Life is different, but also stupid vulgar, pointless...it's like some perted guy who lives with his mom was let loose on the internet (you would know something about that, eh?) Darn canadians.

...
Do you think before you type or just let it come out?

I think too much for my own good. Please make your point.

I know they are different, but all I'm saying is that Sluggy is better!  They ARE in differing categories, but that doesn't change it.

All of you need help.

For the last time, I know that they are different. The point is that I said Sluggy was entertaining. Plus, I can only force myself to read so much of Nana's Life, and I didn't have to read EVERY SINGLE COMIC of Sluggy Freelance to notice that it DOES have HUMOR, etc.

It's like you only see what you want to see. I'm a cynic, I see things how the ARE, not how they should be. You people practically cling to this thing for dear life, fighting everything I say. Whatever, if you have some insane worship-Nana's Life-pshyco-fettish or something, leave ME out of it. (Feel free to pull OTHERS in)

Main Entry: cyn·ic
Pronunciation: 'si-nik
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle French or Latin, Middle French cynique, from Latin cynicus, from Greek kynikos, literally, like a dog, from kyn-, kyOn dog -- more at HOUND

1 capitalized : an adherent of an ancient Greek school of philosophers who held the view that virtue is the only good and that its essence lies in self-control and independence
2 : a faultfinding captious critic; especially : one who believes that human conduct is motivated wholly by self-interest

A cynic you are not.

.....

Those are NOT the only definitions for it.

Maybe they are....does not matter. The point is (Wikipedia baby!) that the greek philosophers of this group challenged 'socities values', including popular belief.

This is generally a negatively overtoned philosophy, since cynics often point out what people don't want to hear. This includes what people try to ignore; they are the muckrakers of society and don't care much for what other people think unless they aren't basing it on what the point of arguement is (this mostly includes the 'public secrets' that people wish they really didn't know). It also helps if the subject matter of their debate has evidence for what they are trying to get across, not just hear-say and mob-behavioral jargin. ('jargin' is a fun word)

In the modern world, people who have a similar outlook or philosophy are reffered to as cynics. The point of this is, I am a cynic, not a greek philosopher, but one who has a similar outlook of what they did, to the point of which it can be referenced to the modern world.

Oh, and for the record Amergin, you just proved my point for me. :)

Come back with a plausible arguement and some debating skills what-so-ever, otherwise you're 'a retarded duck in the midst of drowning.'
