I Agree they are really fun they are the most interactive and they are the most open to the player
#1 The best thing about them is ofcorse the ability to change how you look and i think that is very importantbecause yuo can be uniqe from every one else
Isn't all gaming a form of escapism? Even something as simple as Tetris.
But I digress.
RPGs are fanatastic, I've even found some great (FREE) online RPGs- some MMORPG, some single player (remind me to link them one day, by the way). And some great ones you can download (again FREE). Heh, NetHack...
Hey...I would like to point out that I have a life outside of gaming. I read extensively and love music. I also watch TV. I my opinion, anyone who can't appreciate RPG's is a loser.....retard, moron, freak, knigit!

Lol but i mean its true any one who plays games and magic cards is a total loser
But I mean there is nothing wrong of being a loser its just we r different from other people and thats ok too
but i like to be different because that means i am not like every one else and that makes me to have "character"
You probably not going to be able to understand what I wrote i am sorry for that but i just have bad English and cant express my thoughts the way that you would understand.
You all 'digress.' In case did't notice, MMORPGs hold a GIGANTIC audience. It tis correct to say that vast chunk of people in the US okay them. For being 'losers,' there are a heck of a lot of us everywhere.

5. Dark Cloud---One of those "hey let's go adventure" type RPG's with real time battle system.
6. Breath of Fire---Pick one, any one, and ye shall find yeself enveloped in a massive RPG.
7. Runescape---Yes, in my opinion, 64 bit graphics and simple combat engines combined with no individual storyline FAR outdo some games of this day and age with better graphics and more complex storylines and combat engines.
8. Final Fantasy games other than FF7---I kinda lump the rest together down here.
9. Castlevania RPG's for the DS and GBA---These are all excellent buys, even Circle of the Moon.
10. Last but not least (well, actually....) come the other various MMORPG's that I have seen but not played, or played but not wanted to pay $15 a month to play. You know who you are. (...ahem... WoW, Guild Wars, City of Villians, City of Heroes)
This Is MY personal list of RPG's.
Please list your own below for future reference.

I hardly consider Castlevania Games RPG's myself, but Symphony of the Night is hands-down the best Castlevania game, and one of the best games ever made.
Morrowing *applause* great! Chrono Cross was really good to; it teaches us some good old fashioned RPGing.
